Lake Benton, Minnesota
Community Wind North is a 30 MW wind turbine farm consisting of (12) 2.5 MW Clipper turbines with excellent wind resources and availability of land near the existing power grid. Beginning by improving existing roadways to accommodate the heavy and long loads, the project team provided all civil design and construction, turbine erection, EPC supply of BOP equipment and materials, and complete electrical construction.
As a community based energy development (C−Bed) project, ownership of the wind farm is comprised of local individuals. Public meetings and a dedicated community liaison were used to build positive relationships with owners and community members. Inspired by cutting-edge analysis and a collaborative team effort attentive to details, the project was completed on schedule, within budget and without any contractor initiated change orders.
