Britton, South Dakota
Located in rural South Dakota, the BDM Rural Water board wanted to expand its services by bringing rural water to hundreds of farmers and ranchers who wanted higher quality water. The project included 200 miles of 2” to 10” pipe on a very tight schedule.
To minimize disruption of the farmers’ and ranchers’ daily activities, Thorstad went the extra mile by boring under driveways and farmyards. The
installation got off to a rough start when the area received 17” of rain just prior to construction. By utilizing specialized equipment, Thorstad kept the project on schedule and exceeded customer expectations. The farmers and ranchers expressed their appreciation for the respect and care Thorstad showed when working on or near their land.
Project was completed in October 2004.
